Cubs

Cub Scouts are young people, aged between 8 and 10 years old. They are the third section within the Scouting family behind the Beaver Scout Section. The Cub Scout section then feeds into the Scout Section.

Cub Scouts are encouraged to take an active role in the planning of their programme with their Leadership team, via Cub Scout Forums. They have the opportunity to take part in numerous adventurous activities and complete activity badges as they enjoy these adventures.

They can work towards their Chief Scout’s Silver Award, which is the highest award within the Cub Scout section. They can also work towards becoming a Sixer and Seconder where they assist the leadership team in leading their Six during activities.

Buckinghamshire has a strong Cub Scout section across all its districts with exciting programmes taking place each week, as well as fun nights away experiences which range from one night sleepovers to international experiences in Europe.
