About Us

Scouting offers challenge and adventure to young people aged 4 – 25. We believe in helping our members fulfill their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We are working to make Scouting available to all in Buckinghamshire and we are passionate about what we do.

In Buckinghamshire we have 10 Districts looking after 105 Groups.  We have 2377 adult volunteers providing active programmes and activities for 8199 young people.  We are the largest youth organisation in the County providing skills for life by enabling young people to achieve Chief Scout Awards and international Awards, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the King’s Scout Award.  We are very much youth led which enables our young people to gain confidence in their lives outside of Scouting.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
