First Aid and Emergency Aid Training for Adults

All adults working with young people should have current knowledge and practice in first aid or emergency aid. The county offers courses to to enable people to learn and update their skills.

First Response

This is the Scout Association's basic First Aid course. It lasts eight hours. There is an assessment at the end of the course. At the end of attendance the candidate should have managed to cover sufficient knowledge to hold the certificate for three years.

Courses can be arranged for districts, for a minimum of twelve people.

Lifesaver Plus

This is organised through the St John Ambilance and is provided over a weekend, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm. There is an exam, whcih is taken the following week. If the candidate is successful then the certificate lasts three years.
