Activities - Canoeing and Kayaking
Canoeing and Kayaking have long been popular with Scouts as the activities is both exciting and challenging whilst at the same time being low-cost way to get on the water and relatively simple to arrange.
Bucks runs Canoe evenings all year around, either at Longridge on the river Thames or on a pool in Aylesbury during the winter months.
BCU Awards
This year the Summer sessions at Longridge run by the water team will continue and will cover the British Canoe Union one, two and three star awards. These sessions are open to leaders and Scouts/Explorer Scouts.
As continuing part of this course there may also be the opportunity for participants to take part in a two-day river trip.
